Резюме

This book is a monograph on the theory and methodology of fuzzy spatial object modeling. It discusses definitions of fuzzy space elements, fuzzy spatial objects, topological relationship between fuzzy spatial objects, generation and modeling of fuzzy spatial objects, query methods and reasoning based on these objects. On the basis of theory and method, the likelihood image is used to classify the TM images in Sanya City, and the fuzzy spatial land covers were generated. A query interface of fuzzy spatial objects is designed and several methods of fuzzy feature query is described based on the fuzzy spatial objects, the dynamic changes of land cover in Sanya City are analyzed and compared as a practice.

This book proposes a new perspective method regarding to the spatial objects from fuzzy perspective point of view. The general idea is originated from fuzzy topology. The book introduces fuzzy set, fuzzy topology and related spaces. Several boundaries of a fuzzy spatial object is defined based on fuzzy topology theoretically. It is proved that in a normal fuzzy topological space, the boundary of the boundary of a fuzzy object is empty. This discover can effectively define a fuzzy spatial objects. Due to this space is adopted to model the reality for GIS, a formal definition of a fuzzy spatial objects is given. After reveal of several properties of a fuzzy spatial object, a 4*4–intersection model is built up and the relationships are derived out based on this model. This model is actually the extension of the spatial relationship model (9–intersection) from crisp to fuzzy spatial objects. These objects and relations between these objects can be queried out through query method of fuzzy spatial objects. A fuzzy classification method is generated for obtaining fuzzy spatial objects, and fuzzy reasoning method are adopted to detect the changes of spatial objects, showing the applicability of the above model.

This book can be used as a reference for universities and research institutes engaged in the research of GIS theory and technology.
